Event Overview

The Art of Making Snow

A New England Chapter Connects Series — Presented by the NEAPWA's Education Committee

Every year, public works professionals are busy making plans for their winter snow and ice operations. It is, by any measure, a huge effort to get equipment, materials, and crews ready for whatever Mother Nature may have in store for the winter season. There is another group of professionals also making plans—not to remove snow, but instead to make abundant snow. The Art of Making Snow will give attendees a firsthand look and better understanding of what goes into this amazing undertaking.

Join Loon Mountain Resort’s President and General Manager, Brian Norton, and Vice President of Operations, Alan Wickstrom, as they discuss the technology, challenges, and operational logistics involved in making this white gold.
