A New England Chapter Connects Series — Presented by the NEAPWA's Education Committee

This presentation will explore four key strategies for effective municipal solid waste (MSW) education and outreach: (1) Recycling is Hard – addressing the confusion caused by varying local rules and how to make recycling guidance more accessible; (2) Enhancing Accessibility – using clear language, visual aids, and proactive communication to ensure residents can easily find and understand program info; (3) Leveraging Technology – maximizing digital tools like websites, social media, and e-subscriber systems to reach a broader audience; and (4) Engaging Face-to-Face – emphasizing the value of direct interactions at events and in daily communications to build trust and improve understanding.
