On June 26, 2023, Governor Ned Lamont signed Senate Bill 904. Section 5 of this bill requires Local Traffic Authorities (LTAs), or their designee, to attend a training program annually through the University of Connecticut’s T2 Center to provide them with critical knowledge and skills to better serve in this important role. This course will satisfy this annual training requirement.
This is a multiple-day course that includes a prerequisite, an on-demand module about the Powers and Responsibilities of the LTA. To receive credit, participants must attend the entire course and complete the prerequisite through our online system.

Experts representing OSTA, CTDOT, CTSRC, Watch for Me CT, and the T2 Center’s Safety Circuit Rider program will provide information on the responsibilities of the LTA and the resources that are available to them to accomplish these tasks.
