The CT T2 Center is pleased to announce the 2nd session of our virtual Road Safety Champion series for 2024. This session will give an overview of human factors principles, including how road users interact with their vehicle, the roadway, and other road users. We will also discuss why practitioners should consider road users capabilities and limitations in their policies and practices. Armed with this knowledge, construction and maintenance personnel, planners, engineers, public health professionals, and law enforcement can work together to target appropriate countermeasures to help reduce injury crashes.
*Participants will receive 2 hours credit toward their CT Safety Champion Designation
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
Jason Hughes is the Safety Technical Associate at the University of Connecticut’s Training and Technical Assistance Center.
Eric Lemke is a Crash Data Liaison at the University of Connecticut's Transportation Safety Research Center.
Special thanks to the National Center for Rural Road Safety for their partnership in developing these modules.
