A CT Local Traffic Authority Required Workshop

Course Description:

This training is designed to provide non-engineers with an understanding of what causes traffic and road safety issues and the tools available for collecting information, analyzing data and resolving issues.  Class exercises will provide an opportunity for participants to apply the information presented to real life situations.

Learning Objectives: 

Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:

  • Understand basic concepts, principals and techniques for evaluating traffic issues.
  • Develop reasonable alternative solutions for addressing local traffic problems.
  • Practice completing exercises to perform common municipal engineering and traffic studies using real data.
  • Communicate more effectively with traffic safety experts.

  • Transportation professionals interested in municipal traffic safety and traffic control

Instructor:

Mark Hood, P.E., is a Senior Technology Transfer Specialist and Traffic Safety Engineer with Pennoni Consulting Engineers and the Pennsylvania LTAP Center. Mark has over 25 years experience in Transportation Engineering and has been providing training and technical assistance on transportation safety and traffic engineering-related subjects to audiences around the country for the past 25 years.

  • Cancellation/Refund Policy: The registration fee is refundable if notice of cancellation is received 48 hours prior to the start of the program.
