A CT ROAD MASTER PROGRAM REQUIRED WORKSHOP

Course Description:

This workshop will focus on the hazards inherent in highway maintenance work and the occupational safety and health regulations in place to keep participants safe—both on the jobsite and back at the garage. Discussion, case study exercises and examples of local best practices will be used to demonstrate how highway departments can work safely and efficiently.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of safety in the workplace.
  • Understand how OSHA is structured and why OSHA requirements support a safe work environment.
  • Discuss common workplace hazards and ways to mitigate exposure.
  • Explain steps to identifying hazards in the workplace.
  • Explain why written safety programs are important and what makes a program effective.

Course Instructor:

Adam Drummond is the President of National Safety Services, LLC. He is responsible for the development and delivery of National Safety Services’ programs nationally, including environmental, health, and safety training. Adam has over 30 years of experience in safety training, consulting, and the products industry. He has designed more than 75 individual training programs for safety and environmental applications.

                - $100 - State and Municipal participants
                - $200 - Private-sector participants

  • Cancellation/Refund Policy: The registration fee is refundable if notice of cancellation is received 48 hours prior to the start of the program. Registrants who are unable to attend and do not cancel in advance are subject to the registration fee. Substitutions may be made at anytime.
