A CT Traffic Signal Technician Certificate Program Level II Required Workshop

Course Description:

This workshop is designed to provide an overview of the traffic signal construction process, including methods, equipment, utility considerations and construction math. Construction management and inspections for municipal signal construction projects will be discussed. 

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:

  • Understand basic traffic signal construction considerations.
  • Solve construction math to estimate quantities of materials.
  • Understand signal construction planning, bidding, methods, and materials. 
  • Apply learning to locate existing underground signal and fiber optic conductors and cables.
