A CT Traffic Signal Technician Certificate Program Level III REQUIRED Workshop

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide a basic working knowledge of network communications options and programming in the traffic signal and ITS environment, as well as advanced signal operations and programming for use in specific scenarios. This course is pertinent to individuals responsible for establishing and maintaining system communications and those tasked with advanced signal operations.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how to utilize and program advanced features within modern signal controllers to solve specific needs.
  • Understand system networking and communications requirements and applications for a modern traffic signal and ITS system.
  • Understand hardware and software requirements necessary to implement Connected Vehicle (CV)technologies.
