A CT Transportation Leadership Program ELECTIVE Workshop

Course Description:

Successful leaders share many common traits such as a positive attitude, great interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic. This dynamic workshop will provide an overview of these and other characteristics important to employee engagement and retention, and outline several strategies for integrating these traits into your leadership style.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:

• Better maintain a great attitude, and set a positive tone for your team.

• Build stronger relationships with your staff members.

• Be more of a “coach” than a “boss” in your communication style.

• Utilize your emotional intelligence skills to be more effective during difficult conversations.
