Course Description:

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a great boss? As leaders, our job is not only to be the best we can be and get work done efficiently and safely, but we also need to show the next generation how they can become great leaders. This class examines what it takes to be a great leader and offers suggestions on building better teams, including handling certain conflict situations. Through a balanced use of directing and coaching, managers can create the right environment for future leaders to thrive and build teams that are excited about the work they do.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the impact of good leadership on a team.
  • Discuss the core competencies needed to be a great leader.
  • Discuss how productive conflict and effective communication can positively impact your team.
  • Understand how your unique superpowers can help you be a great leader.
