Tips for Dealing with the Public

A New England Chapter Connects Series — Presented by the NEAPWA's Public Works Awareness and Education Committees

When: Thursday, March 24, 2022, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. via Zoom Hosted by T2 Center at UCONN

Public Works agencies and those who support them are often the first point of contact between the municipality and the public. Interactions with the public are mostly positive but sometimes miscommunication can result in the wrong message.

Whether you are presenting at a town meeting; managing the many priorities of a community, a front office administrator addressing public questions/concerns or a frontline worker paving a local neighborhood, your interactions with the public can directly affect your agency’s public image, future funding projects and above all your agency’s relationship with its residents. Please join us and our panel of Communication professionals for tips and advice on how to deal with the public respectfully and effectively.

Nancy Farrell, CEO, Regina Villa Associates
