Event Overview

This is a 1.5 day hybrid training involving a virtual day of classroom discussion and interaction taking place from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM with a 1-hour break for lunch; and an in-person demonstration day taking place from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The registration fee for this class is $150 for municipal and state participants and $300 for private sector participants.

A CT Road Scholar Program ELECTIVE Workshop

Course Description:

Public works departments across the country are embracing drones on a variety of projects, from landscape analysis and surveying to traffic patterns, water main repairs, bridge inspections and roadway construction. This class will include an overview of drone functionality and the considerations involved in a successful drone program. Representatives from CT agencies will share their experiences and lessons learned during a panel discussion and the session will include a demonstration of the drone technology and a chance to "test drive" a drone.
