Roundtable: Sidewalk Maintenance and Management

A CT Road Scholar Program Elective Workshop

Course Description:

Sidewalks are an important part of our transportation system and provide integral connections between people and those facilities that make our communities great: schools, parks, retail centers and municipal services.  Keeping sidewalk networks in good working order is imperative to the quality of life in a community but can be difficult due to weather, vegetation, winter operations and development. This session will focus on the importance of managing and maintaining your sidewalk network and will provide some ideas on tools you can use to make your operations more efficient and keep your sidewalks in good repair.

Who Should Attend:

This program is designed for all municipal highway officials, particularly those responsible for managing and maintaining sidewalk networks. Directors of Public Works, Highway Superintendents and Foremen are encouraged to attend.
