MUTCD On-Demand Workshop

Course Description:

This free online course provides an overview of Part 4C of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), which outlines the warrants for installing traffic signals. Participants will learn about the alternatives to installing a traffic signal, the requirements of each of the nine (9) warrants, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) process for approving traffic signals. No prior knowledge is required. This workshop contains a brief video presentation, along with a companion learning guide. Successful completion of the workshop requires a score of 70% on the knowledge check quiz.

• Understand the alternatives to installing a traffic signal.
• Understand the requirements of each of the nine (9) traffic signal warrants.
