As a blueprint for the future, a Traffic Signal Management Plan (TSMP) identifies the staffing, funding and equipment necessary to provide good basic service to residents. We’ve broken the process down into a four-part series of workshops to assist municipalities in tailoring a plan to fit their organization’s needs.
Having clear objectives can allow an agency to make the most of limited resources. Participants will brainstorm objectives for their agency’s traffic signal system in the context of overall transportation goals. Take-homes from Part Two of the series will include sample objectives to be used in building a TSMP.
You do not need to attend all four modules to receive credit. Each module you complete you will receive 2 credited hours
towards your Traffic Signal Academy designation.
