Course Description:

Disagreement, stress and conflict are present in any working environment. While not all conflict is bad, it can become destructive if left unattended. This class examines the nature of conflict on the job (with supervisors, staff or customers) and helps you resolve it by communicating with grace and ease.

Learning Objectives:

 In this workshop participants will learn:

  • Understand how to communicate with different personalities;
  • Describe five methods of responding to conflict;
  • Discuss emotional intelligence and how it can be enhanced;
  • Discuss strategies for having difficult conversations and handling difficult situations.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for Crew Leaders, Frontline Supervisors and those responsible for the success of work teams. Foremen,  Highway Superintendents and Public Works Directors are also encourage to attend.
