Manmohan Joshi, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr. Joshi joined the Connecticut Transportation Safety Research Center (CTSRC) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in December 2024. He completed his BE in Civil Engineering (2016) and MS in Transportation Engineering (2019) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. After obtaining his Master's, he served as a lecturer in transportation engineering at Tribhuvan University for two years. He earned his PhD in Transportation and Urban Engineering at the University of Connecticut in 2025. His research focuses on road safety with a particular emphasis on vulnerable road users, transportation equity, systemic safety analysis, surrogate safety measures, speed management, and discrete choice modeling. Dr. Joshi has also been involved in significant national and state-level projects through collaborations with the National Cooperative Highway Research Program, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
