Mr. O'Brien is a retired police Lieutenant with over 23 years of law enforcement experience. He holds a Bachelors degree in General Studies with a concentration in English from Charter Oak State College. He graduated from the Connecticut Police Academy (247^th Class), Police Executive Research Forum / Senior Management Institute for Police (63^rd Session), Southern Police Institute Command Officer Development Course (79^th Session), and attended FBI-LEEDA 183^rd Executive Leadership Institute and 260^th Command Leadership Institute. He was commander of multiple high profile divisions over the course of his career as both Sergeant and Lieutenant, the majority of which was spent employed in Investigate Services. He retired in July of 2018, holding the title of Police Lieutenant.
