In 2019, the Norwood Department of Public Work’s experienced the failure of a large municipally owned steel arch culvert beneath a main thoroughfare in Town. This resulted in an immediate “boots on the ground” action plan to assess the extent of the damage, and most importantly, ensure public safety along a roadway that experiences over 15,000 vehicles per day.
