
Graduate Studies
Educational and research activities in the Transportation and Urban Engineering (TUE) area of concentration focus on the planning, design and operation of transportation systems. Both Master's and Ph.D. degrees are offered through the Civil Engineering Department at UConn.
A wide range of engineering disciplines deal with transportation; some examples include bridge condition monitoring, pavement and road foundation design, traffic signal optimization, travel demand forecasting and highway safety prediction.
Students in the Environmental Engineering program also have transportation research projects.
